Customer Review

Too firm! I know baby mattresses need to be firm, but this one is very hard compared to our full-size baby’s crib mattress. Our baby (3.5 months) does not sleep for extended lengths of time & this mattress may be why as he will sleep for hours in other locations in our home – but we prefer the bassinet because of proximity to us at night?! Maybe other babies prefer this firmness?! I wish there were other not so firm mattress options for this bassinet!

Customer Review

The mattress makes a very good impression, is well made and has no chemical smell. We use the mattress for the Greco Pack n’ Play travel cot/mobile playpen. The dimensions are perfect. Our child sleeps well on the mattress and does not sweat so much in the travel bed.

The mattress comes with a transport bag, which is about as large as the folded bed, so it is more suitable for travelling by car/boat and not so much for flying. I would recommend a rollable mattress. The value for money is perfectly ok.

Not as thick as I thought it would be based on the picture. Honestly, I didn’t look at the dimensions, so that is my fault. It is still a nice mattress that fits my basic Graco pack n play. It did have an odour, but there are some instructions in the box and, with time, went away.

Customer Review

This was exactly what I was looking for to put in my granddaughter’s pack and play. The pack and play came with a very thin pad that also had ridges where one would fold it if travelling with it. I placed the Sleepah on top of that, and it fits perfectly, and the newborn firm side was just what I needed for her as she is here most of the day, and I don’t have the room for a full-size crib. It also came with a very nice pad and fitted sheet. I am very happy with the product.

How to choose the best cot mattress for your child?

  1. Foam: When buying a mattress, the type of foam is the primary aspect to consider for a worthwhile purchase. Choosing the right foam is important. It aids a comfortable sleep for your child and prevents him from allergies. It would be best if you searched for a BPA-free, non-allergic certified foam with tempered steel springs. Also, it might be a good idea to look at a thicker foam as they are generally more comfortable than thinner options.
  2. Size: If you’re looking for a travel cot mattress, you should search for something with easy-to-carry dimensions. The mattress must be compatible with the cot you have for your baby. If you have an older toddler, search for a size that gives them enough space to sleep and play. Never buy a thin mattress for a toddler. These are typically uncomfortable and can lead to a bad posture.
  3. Design: As discussed in the above comparison, the cot mattresses are available in various designs and compatibilities. A foldable mattress with rounded corners is an ideal choice for travelling with your kid. Along with that, you can also opt for a multipurpose 3 in 1 mattress that will provide lots of space to sit, play and sleep with your toddler.
  4. Price: No matter what you are buying, price is the most important element to consider before purchasing. Especially in cot mattresses, you should search for the product that offers the best value according to its price. Never prioritize a product based on its price, as you can even get a premium product at a worthwhile price.
  5. Cover: Apart from foam, the cover has direct interaction with the child’s skin and its activities. There is a gamut of cover fabrics, including cotton, polyester, etc. Meanwhile, a synthetic fabric may be harsh to a child’s skin and feels quite suffocated in warm surroundings. It is recommended to buy a mattress with a cotton cover to ensure the uninterrupted sleep of your toddler. Additionally, opt for a washable cover so that you can wash it with ease.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Which memory foam is best for a 2-year toddler?

Soft memory foam is the perfect choice for a 2-year-old toddler. It helps create a comfortable space for the child and promotes a good posture at his early stage of life. Mainly, people select a hard memory foam to prevent their child from getting tossed. The hard foam feels uncomfortable to the kid and can even lead to a bad posture.
  • Are all cot mattress covers compatible with machine washing?

No, not every cover has machine washable properties. Some covers are compatible with only handwash and dry cleaning. Mainly, manufacturers always mention either the product is machine washable or not. If you do not get any confirmation from the product description, you can examine the customer reviews to explore more about the product.
  • What is the best fabric for a bassinet mattress?

Cot mattress covers are usually available in cotton and polyester. As cotton is a natural fabric, it feels softer to the child as compared to polyester. It is recommended to buy a mattress with a cotton cover if you are looking to purchase a softcover for your child. Along with its soft material, cotton is easier to wash and offers a naturally soft touch.
  • Why should I buy mattresses from an online store?

An online store typically offers a variety of products and designs to choose from. You can explore thousands of products and choose the best mattress for your child. Along with that, online stores like Amazon offers you additional benefits like fast delivery, authentic products, replacement/refund policies, and much more.
